So, I don't exactly know how to handle this situation. Okay, there is this guy who goes to my church, he's nice and all, but I am in no way shape or form interested in him. I bearly like him as a friend and he asked me to go to lunch with him last Wednesday, after almost accidently saying yes, I explained that I need to focus on my relationship with God, my school work and getting through the whole Dane situation. So today he asked me to go to foster freeze with him. How am I supposed to get it across to him that I am waiting for Dane and have NO interest in being around him on a date? Its weird because he isn't acctually asking me to be his girlfriend, but he's asking me on dates that I don't want to go on, but I'm way too nice to just say, "No, bug off." What can I do?

I thought I was putting it into dummy terms when I said, "The whole Dane thing isn't over and I'm not interested."
I said something to that effect...

If you're the object of a guys first crush, then you're sunk. Their passion levels are through the roof, and they're completely blind to the harsh realities.
Even if you tell him there's someone else, he'll still be after you. Tell him you're a junkie and he'll want to get you through rehab. The only thing you can do is tell him no, never give in to his demands, and prepare to lose a mate.
That's life, folks.

I'm not his first crush and some weeks, I'm not even his crush.

Ya one of his first few, and he's still young. Point still stands. Also explains why he's non-commital to a crush.

Yeah, he asked me out again today. But this time I just said no. When he asked me why I told him I just wasn't interested. If he doesn't catch the hint now no one can help him. He takes being shot down very well.

haha! I went to my school's talent show tonight and I think my friend Matt invented a new kind of pick up line. He had the entire crowd raise they're right hands and repeat after him, he made up promise that we wouldn't bum rush the stage and beat him up, but that the single female could rush the stage and get his number. It was great. He then preceeded to play a medlie of pop songs to a three cord 'magic pattern' to which you can sing any pop song that ever existed.
