I know it's another copy/paste effort, but hey... charity begins at AN. What can I say? It was awesome! Avril is superb at singing live, much better than the 'credit' she gets for it. One thing that surprised me was her playing piano. I thought that was a gimmick in MHE, I never knew she played it. Simple Plan were rubbish though, it has to be said. I was saying to my sis how I'd rather they left, that I didn't wanna rock with them, and if they did come up into the crowd (like they said they would but... didn't) that I'd boo or something. Which I was anyway. Were we meant to hear the lyrics, or was it just meant to be a weird droning noise? Ahh well, the music between the break made up for it. They played "Bend And Break" by Keane, and two Train songs - "Drops Of Jupiter" and "Calling All Angels" (which I pointed out to Little Avril)... all of which I sang along to. Much better than the Simple Plan act. Anyway, Avril has improved since her first tour, as you'd expect. She's no Robbie, but she put up a very good job. She made use of the stage more, and her voice... it was beautiful. Singing live, even with Sk8er Boi, she sounded superb. The band did a great job too, and they stood out too, more so than they have so recently. So all in all, great day out. And meeting Little Avril too made my day perfect. So thanks lass.
