Underoath is great...
"I haven't talked in days and I'm really not too sure what I sound like anymore my vision has gone and my mouth is full of sores"
"Hey unfaithful, Hey un graceful, and un loving, I will love you!"
" I swear I'll know your face in the crowd And I'll hear your voice so loud when your whispering.
Hey unfaithful I will teach you to be stronger, to be stonger hey ungraceful I will teach you to forgive one another.
here's my kiss to betray, desperite to brush lips of grace do you feel hallow when you think of how I've lied?
and oh sweet angel of mercy, with grace like the morning, wrap your loving arms around me."
They scream and the guy sings with a beautiful emotional voice...thats what christian hardcore's about baby! Yeah!
Sorry...Its kind of exciting.
Emery's great too.
"Don't tell me its the right time and your last words will sustain me, until...my end. Until I see you again."
"Once again the tables turned and I'm behind, picking up the peices from the night. My face is scared, sometimes I feel that I can't trust my self at all!"
"The fire will always burn, through skin and forgery, and answer when you won't, the bloodless hands of fear."
Good stuff.

Who do they sound like.
The only christian music I have is Stryper and Petra. I think I have a cassette of DC Talk's Jesus Freak somewhere, but what are some of the good christain 'hard rock' bands?

Emery and underoath are really the only hard ones I know of...uneroath has one direct obvious christian song, but the rest are about the struggles of turning from sin to God. Emery's songs are about God (with the exception of maybe two) but the lyrics are really deep and you have to dig for the message, but they're both hard christian bands. If you get a chance, I'm not sure if they have it on purevolume but if they have 'Some will seek forgiveness, others escape' by underoath, listen to it, its a great song. My favorite christian artist is Jennifer Knapp though, she's like a soft rock/countryish-but-not-really/pop-but-not-really style of goodness. ;D She has a great voice and fantastic lyrics.
