So if religious people get married for love why can't gays? Why shouldn't they be allowed to marry a person that they're willing to spend the rest of their life with?

And now we're back to the fact that there is no way there has suddenly been a massive out break of gay love, they just want to ban together to get rights. I don't believe that a gay marriage could work, its not a natural relationship and I don't think it would last.

You think but you don't know. There's a difference between the two.

Well you don't know your side for sure either so that really doesn't work.

So then neither of us really has any evidence.

tried and tested by completely insane people who believe this almighty person has put them here with a purpose and their suppose to worship him all their lives so they can be peaceful after they die.....so they waste over half their life praying and reading the bible and they believe that this so called God is going to help them get though life......but, if they just so happen to be gay, there going to this place of tourture thats been made up, hell, even if they did do all of the above....their still going to hell.....oh yea, real practical.....lovely life you christans have......

Its weird seeing you talk like that because when I first met you, you were a chrisitian.
Besides, even if we are wrong it seems better to me to know a good way of living and living like that rather than going out and getting drunk, stoned and have sex all the time. Some life.

Nowhere in the Bible does it say "As a follower of christ, life will be great" If being a christian were a free ticket to having no problems in your life, there would be more christians.
The fact is, in some ways, your day to day life is more miserable, with more pitfalls then a non christian. I don't know who told you that if you became a christian, you started living in a dream world where nothing goes wrong, but whomever it was...lied to you.
Worshiping God, and following his word, is not supposed to "get you through life" it is to prepare you for eternity. To many christains fall out of the faith because all they think about is ME ME ME. I feel bad for all the suffering in the world, heck, I've had enough tragedy in my life to write a soap opera, and I went through that phase of self pity, and the doubting God phase.
I just reached a point where I quit whining and wallowing in my self pity to wake up. Like a large portion of 'ex christians' needs to do.
Gays are not a race. What they are doing is a sin, it isn't natural even if you don't beleive in God. To call what Gay have 'love' is an insult to the word

Shylox, re-read that line. Note that the subject in that sentence was christians.

Ok then, let me rephrase. If you believed in God cuz you were Christian and then decided not to it's cuz your selfish? There's no other reason then? Nice.

If you completely turn around and decide to stop helping anyone and do things just to make yourself happy, yeah thats pretty selfish. I don't really see how someone could turn from God and still be the same person they were in their faith.
